Financial benchmarking

CAFRE Dairy Benchmarking is the largest database of physical and financial information on dairy farms in Northern Ireland, with information gathered from over 450 farms each year. Benchmarking is used by farmers who are members of Business Development Groups as a tool to monitor individual farm businesses year on year and to compare results with the industry average. Benchmarked farms tend to be larger than the average farm in Northern Ireland. Despite this, benchmarked farms range from 30 cows to over 500 cows and are located in every part of Northern Ireland, representing a full range of farming conditions and dairy systems.
