Increased Numbers Enrolled on CAFRE’s Level II Agricultural Business Operations Course

November 17, 2021

The CAFRE Agricultural Business Operations [ABO] Level II Certificate Course is up and running again for another year with a 20% increase in enrolments.

Course Manager, Kenneth Johnston, explained that the course runs for 20 weeks from October 2021 to the end of February 2022. The course is being delivered through a combination of online and face to face classes at the three CAFRE Campuses with classes in beef, sheep and dairying being taught.

William Bonnes, from Randalstown, Co Antrim who is completing the beef production course at Greenmount Campus says: “I have really enjoyed the first few evenings of the course and have already learned a lot from it. I especially found the animal production and animal health parts of the course interesting and beneficial and am pleased that I have completed the first assessment successfully. I work for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and this course suits me as it is held in the evenings. I am really looking forward to the remainder of the course”.

The CAFRE Agricultural Business Operations (Level II Certificate) qualification meets the agricultural training eligibility requirements for the Young Farmers’ Payment/Regional Reserve Scheme.
