Level 2 Agricultural Business Operations
The Agricultural Business Operations Level 2 Certificate is a part-time course with normal attendance of one evening each week over a 20 week period. The course is accredited by the Open College Network Northern Ireland (OCN NI) and training normally commences in the Autumn each year.
The Agricultural Business Operations Level 2 Certificate was originally developed to meet an eligibility requirement for those applying for the Young Farmers’ Payment/Regional Reserve. If you currently hold a qualification and are not sure if it will meet the eligibility criteria for the Young Farmers’ Payment/Regional Reserve, CAFRE have provided a List of Eligible Qualifications. This list is not exhaustive and if you wish to check the eligibility of the qualification you hold for the Young Farmers’ Payment/Regional Reserve you can do so by submitting details on the qualification via email to Industry.TrainingAdmin@daera-ni.gov.uk or by calling 028 9442 6880.
To date over 4000 people have successfully completed the programme and while a significant number of those completing the course do so to be eligible for the Young Farmers’ Payment/Regional Reserve increasing numbers of mostly mature students now apply to do the course because the part-time evening course fits in with their busy working lives.
Modules completed are as follows:
- Farm Health and Safety
