Postgraduate Success for CAFRE students

July 7, 2023

The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) Loughry Campus provides the Master’s in Business for Agri-food & Rural Enterprise programme at Loughry Campus, in conjunction with Queen’s University Belfast (QUB).

A group of part-time students recently celebrated the completion of their studies as they graduated with their Master’s qualifications from QUB.  The students achieved to a very high standard and are already using the knowledge gained by completing the course in their roles within the industry and we wish them every success in their future careers.

The Business for Agri-Food & Rural Enterprise programme has both full time and part-time delivery options.  Many full-time students enter the Master’s programme directly after their degree programme to further develop their business and management knowledge and skills. Part-time students come from a range of backgrounds and experiences, with many employed in the agri-food or rural sectors for some time, and others who wish to make a career change to join the sector to take advantage of the excellent career and employment opportunities available. The fees for the programme are extremely competitive at £2,800 for full-time study and £933 / year part-time.

Part-time students undertake the taught element of the programme in the evenings over a two – year period with the third year dedicated to a research project linked to their work or interests whilst full-time students complete the programme in one calendar year.
