Food Safety for Manufacturing Refresher (Level 2)
This course is designed for learners who are, or wish to be, food handlers working in a manufacturing environment. Candidates must hold a current or recently expired Level 2 Food Safety Award.
Duration of course
The duration of the qualification is 4 hours, followed by an optional exam in order to gain a Highfield Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing certificate.

Content
Refresher on:
- The importance of keeping work areas clean and hygienic
- The importance of personal hygiene during food processing
- The main risks to food safety from contamination
- Identification of safe food handling practices
Assessment method
If you wish to gain a qualification, multiple choice examination consisting of 20 questions must be taken at Loughry Campus, otherwise you will receive a CAFRE Certificate of Attendance.
