Yard Manager/Head Groom

I am currently on the look out for a new Yard Manager/Head Groom to join Aoife Clark Eventing in Oxfordshire.

It is a small team of horses from 4yrs to 4star, being produced for top level internationals and championships, as well as sourcing and producing young horses for sale. It is a compact, easy to run yard, with a family feel, and lovely facilities including a 60×30 arena, gallops, horse walker and plenty of turnout.

Eventing experience is a must, along with dedication, motivation, a sense of humour and a large dose of common sense! The yard is run to a high standard with an emphasis on attention to detail and top care for all the horses.

The job comes with a generous wage, and package, and live in option if required.

The duties will vary depending on the candidate and the experience. It can be riding or non riding, and stay at home with more fixed hours, or to include travel to competitions. HGV a bonus, but must be able to drive a 3.5t.

The essential part of the role is managing the yard, including logistics, ordering, over-seeing the care of the horses, and other team members, as well as trimming, turning out to a high standard, lunging etc and a good positive attitude! If someone doesn’t mind having a toddler around helping with yard duties that’s a bonus! Good references essential.
