Trainee Trader

Join a fantastic family owned business founded in 1931. With a small and close knit team of traders this offers fantastic opportunity for a broad exposure to all aspects of trading operations. You will see your direct impact on the success of the company as you begin to learn the ropes in the trading room. We have a large, friendly and diverse customer base to get involved with and further develop.

Your role:

• Execution of sales and purchase contracts
• Maintain and develop existing customer and supplier relations
• Produce reports from bespoke software and Microsoft Excel
• Take ownership of logistics, mainly sea and road freight arrangements
• Support senior management with admin and running of the office

Requirements:

• Good interpersonal, written, analytical and communication skills
• Background or interest in agriculture desirable but not essential
• Hard working, self-motivated and driven to succeed
• Degree desirable, three A-levels with GCSE English Maths essential
• Clean driving license essential
