Trainee florist

Petals and Pots, Downpatrick are currently seeking a full time trainee Florist, working 5 days a week including Saturdays. You will be required to work additional hours as and when the role requires at peak periods such as Christmas, Valentines, Mother’s Day etc.

The candidate will be trained in the day-to-day activities in store, as the role involves all aspects of retail floristry including but not limited to: customer service, making bouquets and arrangements to order, wedding work, funeral work, plant care, conditioning flowers and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications / Experience:

• A passion for art and flowers is a must! Although full training will be provided preference will be given to candidates who already work in or are familiar with the industry.
• GCSE Maths/ English/ Art at grade C or above
• Excellent time management and problem- solving skills in a fast paced work environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in a retail environment
