Technical Assistant

The Foyle Food Group requires a Technical Assistant to be based at our Foyle Omagh site in Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.

Working as part of the Technical Team the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting quality control checks including temperature and pH of beef carcases, online inspections of products ensuring compliance in accordance with customer specifications, carrying out GMP / housekeeping audits, micro sampling and assisting with preparation for external audits when required.

Essential Criteria:

• Technical/Food Related Qualification OR  proven relevant experience
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Competent in record keeping
• Motivated with ability to work on own initiative
• Computer literate

Desirable Criteria:

• Understanding of HACCP

• Previous experience of working in the food industry.
• Food Hygiene Qualification.
• Ability to complete quality checks on products throughout the process and ensure that finished product is to customer specification.

Hours of work Monday > Friday 5 x 8-hour shifts
