JOB PURPOSE/PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for providing services and support to the Kepak Foods Supply Chain Technical Team. The role will suit a candidate with a background in quality/technical administration within the food industry.  

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: 

Supply Chain Technical Manager Kepak Foods Division

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To process all supplier information in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company policies, quality procedures and agreed timelines.
  • To build and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders in the office and field, to maximise the delivery of work in an efficient and competent manner.
  • To keep up to date with both administration and database management in relation to audits booked and supplier interaction.
  • To ensure relevant personnel are informed on issues identified which may affect Food Safety, Quality or Legality.
  • To produce timely and accurate reports in accordance with Kepak procedures.
  • To respond to queries in relation to Suppliers in a polite and professional manner, ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with promptly and satisfactorily resolved (by email and telephone).
  • Comply with all company procedures for the effective control of all documentation.
  • Develop and maintain a positive, proactive relationship with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the Technical Supply Chain team in multi-departmental meetings and project teams.
  • Play an active role in reviewing Kepak Standards and Policies with a view on continuous improvement based on the needs of the business.

SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma/Degree in Food Science/ Nutrition/Agricultural Science or similar discipline or relevant  experience within a Quality/Technical Function within the Food Industry.
  • Experience in administration and customer/supplier service in a professional services environment.
  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced business.
  • IT literate.
  • Experience in working to tight deadlines and work schedules that can be interrupted from time to time due to customer requirements.
  • Experience using a variety of databases.
