R L Hewitt Ltd, is an Agricultural Merchant business established over 60 years ago within the Mid Ulster area. We have established a strong, reliable and dependable presence in the local farming community and pride ourselves on having developed strong working relationships with our customers. We supply grains, straights and compounded animal feed, minerals, bedding and fertiliser.
We also seek to source any other additional products or services needed for our customers.

Job description:
We are seeking someone to undertake the role of store and yard supervisor. This role will see the individual work closely with the other members of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the day to day running of the sales yard and store. This will also include co-ordinating and the planning of transporting feed supplies to customers farms.

Yard and store responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and handling of store stock.
  • Direct sales to customers- telephone and face to face in yard.
  • Overseeing the day to day running of sales yard.
  • Supervision of staff.
  • Organising customer orders.

Haulage coordinator responsibilities:

  • Planning and co-ordinating customer deliveries.
  • Scheduling collections.
  • Effectively planning daily vehicle loads.
  • Communicating closely with customers and suppliers.
  • Ensuring time scales are maintained.

Personal Requirements:

  • Good I. T. skills with Microsoft excel, word and outlook
  • Good numerical ability
  • Good problem-solving ability
  • Effective time management
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to be professional timely and competent

Desirable:

  • Experience in a transport and agricultural industry
  • Geographic awareness of Northern Ireland
  • Class 1 HGV Licence
  • Counter balance forklift licence

*Additional training will be discussed at interview if you do not meet the desirable criteria at present.

Full time permanent

Salary: To be discussed at interview dependant on experience

  • Day shift
  • Monday – Friday (8 am – 6 pm)
  • Fortnightly Saturdays (flexible)
