We invite applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic people for the position of QA Assistant within our Quality Department at our Sion Mills site, 11 Mill Avenue, Sion Mills, Strabane, BT82 9HE

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, self-directing and proactive with a good work ethic and flexible to meet the needs of the business as required (audit preparation). Problem solving, attention to detail and flexibility are essential skills alongside the ability to communicate and work as part of a team.

This is a very exciting time to join the company.  The role of Quality Assurance Assistant will involve assisting the Quality Manager with the implementation, monitoring and delivery of Quality Systems within a busy food manufacturing environment, ensuring the production of safe, quality products which adhere to quality, customer and legislative standards and specifications.

Applicants should possess a secondary level education to A’ Level or equivalent standard including a Science or Business-related subject and at least one years’ experience working in a Quality Assurance / Laboratory / Audit role.   A third level education, typically a degree in food Science/Quality/Technology subject and 2 years’ experience working in a Quality Assurance / Laboratory / Audit role would be desirable.  Where a candidate does not possess the above educational qualifications, we will also accept 3 years’ experience working in a Quality Assurance / Laboratory / Audit role as an equivalent.

A Food Safety / HACCP Training / Qualification, experience analysing data via advanced Excel / MS Power BI and experience working to BRC or equivalent Standards would be advantageous/desirable.
