The role:

We require a highly motivated individual to undertake the role of a QA Assistant to monitor and verify all food safety, legality and quality procedures as outlined within the company’s Food Safety and Quality Management System whilst also ensuring health and safety.

  • Monitoring and verification checks throughout the factory, including temperature, CCPs and pre-requisite requirements
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork
  • Verify production check sheets
  • Butchery checks to ensure that product meets customer specifications
  • Internal auditing
  • Investigate non-conformances
  • Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene rules in the factory environment
  • Assess goods at intake to ensure they meet specification
  • Assist in preparation for customer visits, third party and internal audits.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills / qualifications / attributes: –

Essential Criteria:

  • GCSE Maths & English, grade A-C, or equivalent
  • IT literate
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent problem solving skills without compromise to food safety, legality or quality
  • Excellent work ethos
  • Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Knowledge of food safety and HACCP – Qualifications in this area desirable
  • Must be flexible

Desirable Criteria:

  • Internal auditing experience

Hours of work:

40 hours Monday – Friday (exact hours of work to be confirmed)
