Pig Farm Worker

Castlewellan
Required on a modern 200 sow birth to bacon pig unit and 50 suckler beef herd, with automated home meal mixing plant. Farm also currently diversifying into eco-tourism, which may provide interesting experience and opportunities, in the near future.
Location: Castlewellan
Hours: Part time (minimum 20 hrs per week) or full time.
Accommodation: Newly finished, up to date accommodation available if required.
Wages: Starting at £9.50 per hour, with potential for increase after a probationary period for the right candidate.
Some weekend work required on a rota basis.
Main duties:
- General Farm and machinery work
- Animal Husbandry – herd health and welfare
- Occasional tractor work
Essential criteria:
- Applicant must be enthusiastic, motivated and keen to learn.
- Full driving license essential.
- Experience driving loading shovel desirable.
