Professor Brian D Green and colleagues of Queens University colleagues are seeking a student candidate who may be interested in a PhD degree programme with a strong agriculture/horticulture focus.
The proposed title for the PhD is: “Optimising the cultivation of novel commercial crops on the Island of Ireland: diversifying farming and adding value.”
This project will provide an entirely unique training experience for a PhD candidate. It will combine plant science, agronomy and plant processing methodologies and the experience of working with commercial companies.
Eligibility: Have or be in the process of obtaining (i.e. graduation summer 2022) a BSc degree (2i or higher). Any hands on experience of arable farming, or horticulture, or plant science would be advantageous.
Expected start of Project: October 2022.
