The Foyle Food Group requires a NPD Technologist to be based in our Shared Service Centre located on the Foyle Omagh site on the outskirts of Omagh. This is an exciting opportunity to join on of the largest red meat processing Companies in the UK and Ireland.
Working alongside a highly motivated and growing team you will be responsible for:
- Undertake NPD projects and product creation from concept to launch. Gain an understanding of current food trends, comparative products from competitors, market issues, packaging and process concepts to help with the continuous development of the companies.
- Creation of samples for meetings and presentations, cooking & presenting these new concepts.
- Benchmarking trials.
- Have involvement in ordering ingredients, initial costings and lead times.
- Leading the internal weekly NPD call update for internal stakeholders
- Full involvement in factory trials and product launches, attending all new product launches
- Gain a good understanding of the company’s capabilities in terms of production, strategy etc
- Manage and maintain all product development files and data, factory trial, recipes, cooking validation and taste panel information.
- Working on new packaging and Retailer specification systems for all new product launches.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Food Science or similar subject
- Strong communication and presenting skills are essential for this role
- Time management and project management skills, the ability to manage stakeholders.
- Full UK Driving licence.
