Reporting To: NPD Manager
Role Overview: Assist in the development and implementation of new and existing products through all stages of the stage-gate process, including development of kitchen recipes and scale up to factory production.
Main Responsibilities:
- Research & log new product ideas, trends & competitor activity on project briefs.
- Prepare kitchen samples and assist in product submissions to customers including coordinating initial specifications with the technical team and completing required sample submission forms.
- Liaise with production to book trial time on the line, organise raw materials and assist with any factory trials and line produced samples as required.
- Raise new codes and prepare all relevant documentation throughout the critical path.
- Attend all first production of new products, ensuring handover to production team and all paperwork is complete.
- Completion of nutritional information via alacalc, and back of pack ingredient declariations.
- Organise monthly NPD taste panels for branded and facilitate bi-weekly taste panels for key private label customers.
- Organising NPD/New Launch samples and attending relevant Trade / PR / Marketing events as required.
- Conduct internal audits & assist in preparation for external audits / customer visits.
- Any other duties as required to fulfil the company needs.
