Reporting to the NPD Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a team, responsible for the execution of product and process development from concept to successful launch.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 6 months operations experience in the food/drinks sector. It is desirable that this experience is gained within NPD or Technical functions in the food/drinks sector. A tertiary level qualification (minimum of HND), in food science/food technology or a related discipline is essential.
It is essential that candidates can demonstrate keen market and consumer awareness. A strong understanding of the NPD process from concept to fruition is desirable, as is previous experience of working with the major multiples and discounters in the food/drinks sector.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work on their own initiative and have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. They will be a good team worker and be able to communicate at all levels (both written and verbally) within the organisation, with suppliers and with customers.
The successful candidate must be flexible with regard to overtime working including early mornings, weekends and shifts. They must have a full driving licence enabling them to drive in the UK/ROI and must be able to travel to attend meetings with suppliers and customers. Applicants must be able to use Microsoft Office.
