Mill Operator

Reid Farm Supplies moved from fertiliser sales into the storage and sale of animal straights in 1997 Under the Reid Feeds brand we have invested in a 5 ton Wynveen 3 tier feed mixing system, Molasses Liquid product storage and application with overhead bulk outloading bins.

Beef, Sheep and Dairy blends and coarse crunch mixes are currently being produced in either bulk or Tote bags. Available for collection or delivery using our experienced sub-contractors.

Reid Feeds are currently recruiting a Mill Operator.

• Full Time including a Saturday morning rota.
• Full job training will be provided
• £30,000 plus negotiable, dependent on experience/performance
• Working within a small family run company.
• You will be required to carry out all roles within the animal feed manufacturing process.

Main duties include:

• Operation of computerised automated mill system
• Dealing with customers, invoicing
• Mixing, recording, sampling
• Shovel and forklift driving
• Plant maintenance, etc.
• Ability to work as a team or alone

Required skills:

• Good interpersonal communication
• Customer service driven
• Strong enthusiastic work ethic
• Strong numeracy and computer literacy skills

Desired skills:

• Experience in operating a loading shovel, forklift
• A farming background, basic knowledge of animal nutrition
