The Role
We are seeking applications from skilled, committed people for the role of Manufacturing Apprentice. The Manufacturing Apprentice will participate in a program through CAFRE (Loughry Campus) encompassing academic study and practical work experience to achieve a Level 2 & Level 3 Certificate for Proficiency in Food Industry Skills. The Manufacturing Apprentice will gain an understanding of all processes in UHT (Ultra Heat Treatment), Powder and Weigh Up and have the ability to operate each plant when full training has been provided. The apprenticeship will last a duration of approximately 2 years.

The Person
An offer of employment is conditional on the successful person being accepted onto the Level 2 & Level 3 course. Acceptance onto the course will be determined by the provider (CAFRE – Loughry campus). It is desirable that candidates have attained GSCE English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent and Essential Skills in Information and Communication Technology (L1 or above) or equivalent. Candidates without these qualifications will be expected to complete and achieve these as part of the Apprenticeship.
