Landscape Operative

Kinrush Project Specialists, a landscaping company based in Ardboe, work is all over Northern Ireland. Work involves garden remodels, including building, demo, paving, fencing, excavation, drainage.   We also carry out maintenance, from tree surgery to plant care, both hard and soft landscaping.  Our work can take us to the North Coast, Antrim, Belfast, Cookstown, Limavady, Omagh, Dungannon, Armagh, Hillsborough.

Job Specification

Work will be based on arriving on site at approximately 8am, (depending where the job is). Range of activities will include labouring, driving machinery (if experienced), paving, fencing, organizing. Work is generally from Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm, with some Saturday work available for the right individual.  Rate of pay can range from minimum wage to £14 per hour depending on experience. 

There is currently an opening for one full time permanent worker and one to two seasonal/work experience roles which will be fully paid.

Experience in driving machinery is preferred, excavators in particular. Experience in garden design or a creative mind would be a bonus. Having worked in a landscaping role before is a bonus, however we are willing to teach and train the right person provided they have a positive attitude and want to work. The job title would be a landscape gardener.   

Criteria for application

• A person who is creative and has had experience or wants to get experience in designing,
• Confident in operating machinery and comfortable working outdoors
• A willing attitude and an interest in learning as much as possible.
• The ability to drive to site, or to meet one of our vans on our way to the site.
• Someone who has basic knowledge of landscaping processes, from hardscape construction to plant care would be a bonus however training will be provided by experience on the job.
• Someone responsible and reliable who will show up to work each day (unless prior notice has been given about a need to take off)
• A positive attitude is essential.
