Junior Transport Planner

A fantastic opportunity to join a local company who supply haulage services across Ireland and the UK as a Junior Transport Planner. We are seeking a Junior Transport Planner with 1-2 years of experience in haulage to join our busy team based in Ardboe, Co Tyrone. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious person that is looking for a long-term career in the supply chain industry with the opportunity to progress through the business.

Requirements

• A good understanding of driver’s hours and transport legislation to ensure deadlines are met and in a cost-effective way.
• Must be a good relationship builder, self-motivated, have good IT skills and most importantly be able to communicate effectively.
• This is a high-pressured role where you will be responsible for the route planning of multiple vehicles so being able to work well under pressure is vital whilst also demonstrating strong administration skills.

Main Responsibilities

• Effectively planning a fleet of vehicles routes for the day.
• Monitoring live jobs that are running to ensure any delays that occur are identified.
• Speaking with customers to report any issues or delays ensuring excellent customer service is delivered.
• Working as a team to support each other when any issues occur.

Benefits

• The salary for this role ranges between £25,000 and £30,000 dependent on experience.
• CILT CPC Road Haulage course paid for by Company

Shift Pattern –

Shift times – 7AM-5PM, 8AM-6PM, 9AM-7PM, Rotates weekly. 1 in every 3 weekends.
