Job Specification
- Testing pH, EC, Moisture Content, and Bulk Density
- Quality assurance and benchmarking
- Research & development
- Field visits to growers – technical advice
- Sampling and record keeping
- Trials – set up, data collection, report writing
- Product Analysis – Substrates, fertilizers and other additivities
- Interpreting and analyzing lab reports
Desirable Criteria
- PA1 & PA6
- Growing medial (soil science) experience
- Technical knowledge
- Self-motivated and ability to works of their own initiative
Requirements
- Degree (Foundation or Honours) in Horticulture (Agriculture/Environmental/Forestry/closely related) with a soil science and plant science modules
- Plant production and (or) lab experience
- Communication skills – verbal and written
- Excel and word proficient
