En Place Foods Ltd is a multi-award-winning food production business based in Cookstown. We are a professional, innovative & creative growing enterprise working with artisan producers & brand owners to develop & produce speciality foods.

A hands-on role in developing the technical & quality processes & procedures within a fast growing speciality food business.

About you:

  • HND/Degree level qualification in food science or food technology.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, food legislation, food hygiene & quality control.
  • Leadership & communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative to build & implement procedures.
  • You are pragmatic & ready to undertake the challenges of developing QC systems for a growing business.

What you will do:

  • This is a solo position & a new role within a small, growing enterprise; you will be taking over administration from the production manager & managing director & building & developing the quality procedures for further business development.
  • Take responsibility for all administration & document control relating to food safety & compliance.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Liaise with our customers & suppliers on all aspects of compliance & food safety, continuing to build & maintain the excellent working relationships already established.
  • Take the lead in supplier audits & EHO inspections.
  • Coach & lead the production team in all aspects of quality control.
  • Undertake a strategic review of all food safety & quality procedures within the business with a view to SALSA accreditation.

Monday – Friday, daytime hours 36-40 hours per week (negotiable). Starting Salary £28k – £29.5k pa.
