Irwin Feeds, Eglish, Dungannon would like to recruit an adviser to join their existing sales team.  This role would prioritise growth and expansion of the business.  The right candidate will be offered an immediate start, full time position. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the existing sales team and technical support with continual development in mind.  If you have an engaging and friendly personality, with a passion for agriculture and customer service we would like to hear from you.

  General Summary:

  • Maximise sales of Ruminant Feed within a designated area.
  • Manage new and existing accounts, providing a high standard of customer support.
  • Promoting and securing sales from existing and prospective customers.
  • Managing all aspects of customer accounts, liaising with all departments of the business (logistics, credit, and production).

Details of Function:

  • Establish, develop, and maintains business relationships with customers and prospective customers.
  • Generate new business and maintain existing accounts.
  • Liaise with Nutritionist to provide sound nutritional advice through on-going personal development and knowledge transfer.
  • Quickly resolves customer feedback and complaints. Report any complaints or concerns to management.
  • Coordinate with marketing, management, accounting, logistics and technical.
  • Attend trade shows, displays and other events as directed.
  • Manage time effectively and efficiently by forward planning your diary.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A proven sales record is desirable but not vital.
  • Applicants must hold a valid driving licence.
  • BSc(Hons) or foundation degree in Animal Production Science, Agriculture or other related discipline is preferrable but not essential.
  • Experience working within agriculture is essential and dairy unit experience is preferable.
  • A self-starter with confident and adaptive communication skills

The role is predominantly field based and will require extensive travelling to customers premises and doing so at a time to suit them, meaning a flexible attitude towards working hours is essential.

Salary in the region of £25,000 dependant on experience, commission structure and benefits available.
