Hours: Full time 5 days – 40 hours per week (weekend rota work), additional hours may be required during busy periods.
Enterprise: Beef Farm – 500 beef cattle (housed)
Main Duties: Day to day running of busy beef farm with mix ration. Feeding indoors (diet feeder), most animals indoors, some to be fed on grass. Slurry spreading, Fertiliser spreading, reseeding. Choice of 3 x 4wd tractors, feeder wagon and JCB shovel. Feeding morning and evening, checking welfare of stock throughout day, machine work. Cleaning and maintaining cattle sheds and general upkeep of yard. Veterinary care and recording of medicines in record book, dosing, vaccinating and dehorning.
Experience preferred but not essential (training can be provided if right candidate)
Full driving licence essential / Free wifi
Wages: £8.50 per hour based on experience, with potential for increase after a probationary period for the right candidate.
