Drenagh Estate is located on 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside just outside Limavady, Co. Derry. Drenagh is steeped in history and full of character and charm; dotted with ancient woodlands and beautiful gardens.
Job Specification
As assistant to the head gardener you will be expected to fulfil the following tasks: propagation, pricking out, sowing, weed control, grass management (mowing, edging, strimming), planting shrubs and trees, pruning, drainage, path management, general maintenance of Walled Garden, Moon Garden, Italian Garden, English Garden, Rhododendron Glen, Bog Garden and pleasure grounds in a 70 acre historic garden.
Desirable Criteria
Driving license (essential), experience in the use of small garden machinery and ride-on mowers, grass maintenance, basic horticultural skills (eg pruning, propagation)
