Randox Laboratories are currently recruiting for an “Animal Technologist” based at our Crumlin site in Northern Ireland. The successful applicant will undertake general animal husbandry procedures (mainly sheep), including animal handling and training, animal health assessment and preventative treatment. 

This role will be based at our site 6, near Crumlin, Northern Ireland.

The Role:

  • Undertaking general animal husbandry procedures
  • Animal handling and training
  • Health assessment and prevention treatments
  • Facilitating plasma collection and maintaining accurate records
  • Working to animal compliance act of 1986 regulations
  • Ensuring optimal animal health and welfare to facilitate antibody collection
  • Attend animal welfare training

The Candidate:
Essential:

  • Experience working with farm animals particularly sheep.
  • Knowledgeable of normal animal behaviours
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • Completion of agricultural training course
  • A-levels or equivalent
  • Full driving license
