Job Overview
A unique development opportunity has arisen for a Placement Student (July 2022 – July 2023), working within the Clinical Section of the Research & Development Department and based at the Animal Research Facility.
Main Activities/Task
To assist in the day to day functions associated with the animal research facility. Contributing, as required in the conduct of multiple research projects in accordance with the principles of GLP and GCP.
- Daily Health Monitoring of numerous species of animals. Compiling animal treatment records.
- Maintenance/cleaning of equipment to ensure readiness of use for veterinary/clinical teams.
- Processing of samples from various biological matrices.
- Miscellaneous task as required by Management.
Essential Criteria:
- Currently studying toward a relevant life science degree.
- Flexibility and the ability to prioritise and manage their time efficiently and effectively.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Possess a strong team spirit with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Have experience working in a GLP, GCP or GMP environment, however full training will be given.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience working with farm animals.
- Suitable work experience.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
