We co-ordinate volumes in excess of 500,000 tonnes per annum arranging deliveries throughout the UK and Ireland.

The Role

The Animal Feed Programmer is responsible for programming and scheduling the delivery of animal feed to customers. The Animal Feed Programmer works alongside the Transport Planner and liaises directly with customers regarding their orders and creating feed programmes. Duties include:

• Being the main point of contact for farmers to order feed
• Programming and scheduling poultry feed orders for delivery throughout Northern Ireland.
• Liaising closely with customers and transport planners ensuring the highest standards of customer service are upheld at all times.
• Maintaining accurate records of orders.
• Focusing on efficiency to maximise fleet utilisation whilst adhering to customer requirements in a prompt, timely manner.
• Work to KPI management reporting on areas such as on-farm feed stocks, load-fill and fleet efficiency.

Requirements:

• Strong IT skills: Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook
• Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C (or equivalent)
• Minimum B (or higher) grade in GCSE Mathematics and English (or equivalent)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Excellent numerical ability
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service experience

Desirable:

• Agricultural and/or transport experience in a working capacity.
• Excellent geographical awareness of rural Northern Ireland.

Full on-the-job training will be provided.
