Capper Trading Ltd is a diverse company established over 50 years ago with its origins in the agriculture industry. We specialise in bulk animal feed logistics and are renowned for manufacturing and supplying high quality animal feeds and bedding products. The company also operates liquid and solid fuel divisions distributing throughout the country, and boasts a vast range of products, including stoves and fireside supplies from our showroom.

The Role

As the sole Animal Bedding Sales Executive, the post holder will be responsible for connecting our brand, Hillview Bedding, with our customers throughout the UK and Ireland and will be responsible for providing technical service, support and aftercare services to new and existing customers within the agricultural sector. The post holder will be the main point of contact for and face of Hillview bedding and will be responsible for:

  • Promoting and securing sales of Hillview Animal Bedding products
  • Purchasing of raw straw and associated bedding materials.
  • Achieving growth and hit sales targets and KPIs by successfully managing the sales.
  • Building and promoting strong, trusted and long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them, visiting their farms and understanding their needs.
  • Processing sales invoices, managing credit accounts and controlling credit and debtors.
  • Managing key accounts and identifying emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Ensuring that the high quality standards of the product are maintained.
  • Communicating sales orders and engaging with the production team to ensure stock levels and manufacturing needs are met.
  • Presenting sales revenue, expenses reports, forecasts and other reports to the senior management team.

The ideal candidate must possess:

Third level qualification in a Sales, Marketing or Agricultural related discipline (or equivalent).

Or

At least 5 years’ experience working in a sales environment of which 3 years’ must be at a senior level in direct sales in the Agricultural industry.

And

  • Demonstratable record of sales within a commercial environment with a proven background of generating sales and winning business.
  • Demonstratable relevant industry or technical knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Experience of presenting to small and large groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Software Systems.
  • Excellent business acumen with an analytical and commercial approach to business decision making.
  • Driving License and access to a car
