Agricultural Technical Advisory Assistant

Due to significant growth plans we have an opportunity for a graduate to join our Agricultural Technical Advisory Team, covering many aspects of farming across Northern Ireland, with a particular focus on the Derry/Londonderry, Limavady and Coleraine areas.

The role will include regular on-farm visits and ongoing support to the existing customer portfolio, with sector growth and development responsibility going forward under the guidance from Technical Management. The role is diverse and rewarding, offering advice, sales and support on major farm inputs including livestock feeds, fertilisers and crop protection products. Training will be offered where required and the position presents significant long term career opportunities within a reputable and expansive organisation. A full induction with the existing Advisory Team will offer a great insight into the scale of this position and the company, offering a competitive salary and a structured personal development approach.

Wage: 25k plus bonus. 

The Candidate: 

• Agricultural background with an interest in the wider farming industry.
• Formal Agricultural Qualification with practical experience desirable.
• Professional and approachable attitude, understanding the importance of customer relationships and networking.
• Competent with Microsoft Office and IT systems.
• Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude.
• Awareness of Ag-marketing and social media content creation.
• Ability to work independently, developing relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Flexible and adaptable, with a long-term vision.
