The Latest Development with New Apple Varieties

CAFRE will be hosting, Peter Breach, Managing Director of J R Breach based in Staplehurst, Kent. Peter will present on the latest developments of new apple varieties. He will also share the latest finding from rootstock trials and alternative options for staking.

Peter has a wealth experience and has been involved in the family business from young age. He has travelled to France, Tasmania, Australia, and New Zealand to further his own knowledge and experience over the last several years.

J R Breach supply new varieties from their breeding program and from around the world. They also raise some new varieties in Staplehurst too. The business has been in operation since 1968 and began importing trees from Pepiniere Du Valois (PDV) near Paris. They are also agents in the UK for Desindo in Belgium since 1991 which supply tree stakes/posts in various sizes and types. They have been supplying trees for many years to growers in the Northern Ireland
