Marcus Markle

MSc in Business for Agri-Food and Rural Enterprise “After my undergraduate BSc (Hons) agricultural degree which I completed at CAFRE’s Greenmount campus and Queen’s University Belfast, I decided to study for my MSc in Business for Agri-Food and Rural Enterprise (BAFRE) at Loughry campus. It is an ideal post-graduate programme allowing me to build upon my undergraduate qualification. The skills and competencies learned on the master’s programme have helped me gain new insight into the industry and the challenges facing it.

My proposed master’s thesis project has also led to me being awarded the Leadership of Convocation Award by Queen’s University with a scholarship of £1,000 for this project which will focus on the potential impact of BREXIT on Northern Ireland’s farmers. Overall the course is challenging me in new ways and there are great additional opportunities for us such as the spring study tour to Vienna.”
