Industry Support Programme
Companies and organisations throughout Ireland support CAFRE in many ways. One method that directly helps students is through participation in the Bursary Awards and Scholarship Programme. The support companies offer to our students demonstrates their commitment and recognition of the value CAFRE students supply to the industry.
Bursary Awards, are open to all first year students studying on Higher Education courses at Enniskillen, Greenmount and Loughry Campuses. Forty-five bursaries, each with a cash award of £1,500, were presented to successful applicants in Semester 2 for the 2023-2024 academic year.
The Scholarship Programme, offers second year degree students not only the opportunity to compete for £2,500 of financial assistance, but additionally to secure one year of paid work placement with the sponsor company. Nine scholarships with placement opportunities were presented to degree students at Enniskillen and Loughry Campus for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Equine Bursary and Scholarship Awards
Equine bursary sponsors for the 2024-25 academic year include: Bluegrass , Coolmore, Danske Bank, Derrinstown Stud, Downpatrick Racecourse, Gerry Dilger Foundation, Horse Racing Ireland, Horse Sport Ireland, Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association, Juddmonte, Show Jumping Ireland, The Aga Khan Studs, The Irish Field, Tinnkill House Stud, Tyrone Farming Society, Ulster Carpets, Vaughan Trust, Weatherbys.
One Scholarship award will be offered by Godolphin. Second year degree students have the opportunity to compete for the award which also offers a work placement opportunity.

Agriculture Bursary and Scholarship Awards
Agriculture bursary sponsors for the 2024-25 academic year: Abbey Autoline, Calor, Dale Farm, Danske Bank, Gibson Trust, Irish Farmers’ Journal, John Thompson and Sons Ltd, Lakeland Dairies, Livestock and Meat Commission NI, National Sheep Association, Tyrone Farming Society, Ulster Farmers’ Union, Ulster Grassland Society and Yara.
Scholarships will be awarded by: ABP Linden, Fane Valley Stores and Moy Park.
Presentation of Bursary and Scholarship awards for 2023-24 took place on Friday 19th April 2024 at Greenmount Campus, Antrim. Horticulture Bursary Awards

Food Bursary and Scholarship Awards
Food bursary sponsors for the 2024-25 academic year: Dale Farm, Danske Bank, Fane Valley, Henderson Foodservice, Kerry Omagh, Lakeland Dairies, Mackles Pet Foods, Northern Ireland Food and Drink (NIFDA) and Tyrone Farming Society.
Food scholarships will be awarded in the 2024-25 year by: ABP Linden, Dunbia, Lakeland Dairies, Leprino Foods, Mackle Pet Foods and Water Technology.
