Course Open Days

CAFRE offers courses for those leaving school after Year 12 or Year 14 or for those seeking to start or develop their agri-food or land-based career. Our next Open Days are being held during week commencing Tuesday 7 October. During Open Week, we are offering subject specific events when you will get lots of useful information about studying at the college. You will be welcomed by friendly students and knowledgeable staff to help you choose the right course for you at CAFRE. We’ll show you around our excellent practical facilities, which will help you gain the skills and develop your knowledge for your chosen industry.

Level 2 and 3 qualifications are suited to those leaving school after Year 12, offering an attractive alternative to A-Levels or a route to start your chosen career. We offer courses in Food, Agriculture, Horticulture, Equine, Floristry, Veterinary Nursing and Land-based Engineering. Full-time and part-time applications for Level 2 and Level 3 courses are made through this website.

BSc Honours and Foundation Degree courses are suited for those leaving school after Year 14 with A-Level or equivalent qualifications. Our courses are offered in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University. Our courses are designed to maximise the use of the excellent practical facilities on offer at the college. Study for a degree qualification at CAFRE and specialise in Food, Agriculture, Horticulture or Equine Management. Full-time applications for Honours and Foundation Degree courses are made through UCAS.

We now operate a booking system for all our Open Week events across CAFRE.
