A one day Equine Foot Balance course will take place on Wednesday 27 February 2019 at CAFRE, Enniskillen Campus. The day will focus on equine foot balance and the importance of corrective shoeing and is for registered farriers with at least the 2 years’ experience in the equine industry.
The day involves a detailed and informative presentation on ‘farriery for the horse’s conformational needs and gait’ with leading and renowned international farriers, followed by horse assessments and practical group and individual activities in the forge unit.
Who is the course for?
The course is a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) event for any farrier registered with the Worshipful Company of Farriers (WCF), therefore your details will be shared with WCF for CPD purposes.
The course will cover the following areas:
- Identification of normal/abnormal conformation
- Shoeing for specific conformation
- How to adapt manufactured horse shoes
- How to apply the bespoke remedial shoes
The training course costs £130, which includes a light lunch.
