This one day event will take place at the Irish Equine Centre, Kildare on Thursday 28 March 2019, leaving CAFRE Greenmount Campus, Antrim.
The day involves an informative tour of the renowned facilities of the Irish Equine Centre, which serves all sectors of the equine industry, providing laboratory and diagnostic services. This trip offers a rare and invaluable opportunity to see horses on the dissection table, and an insight into the internal anatomy of the horse and how it relates to health and performance.
The day will include:
- An informative tour of Irish Equine Centre, showcasing the services offered and the centre’s expertise in equine diagnostics and disease prevention
- An equine dissection highlighting key internal structures and how they relate to health and performance
7.25am Leave Greenmount Campus
8.00am Collection point – Sprucefield Park and Ride
10.30am Arrive at Irish Equine Centre
Welcome and introductions
10.45am Tour of Irish Equine Centre
12.30pm Lunch at local garden centre (participants to purchase their own lunch)
1.30pm Dissection session
4.00pm Leave Irish Equine Centre
6.30pm Drop off at Sprucefield Park and Ride
7.00pm Arrive back at Greenmount Campus
The event costs £20 per person.
The number of spaces on the course is limited to 25, so it is important to book early.
