Farm Worker

We are looking for a capable, hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic person to join the family team running a herd of 180 dairy cows and 100 young stock.

Main duties will include:

• Milking twice a day through a 16:32 Boumatic Parlour.
• Cleaning and bedding cow cubicles.
• Feeding cows a TMR using a diet feeder.
• Calf rearing both manually and on an automatic calf feeder.
• Feeding and bedding youngstock.
• General animal husbandry duties: calving cows, dosing stock, administering vaccinations, dehorning etc.
• General tractor and telehandler work.

Accommodation:  

• No Accommodation provided.
• Free Wifi and breakfast provided.

Terms & Conditions:

• Wages from £8-12 per hour depending on experience and ability.
• On the job training can be available.
• Full driving license required. Telehandler certificate desirable.
• 4 days a week plus every other weekend.
