Young Farmers’ Payment/Regional Reserve

An eligibility requirement for those applying for the Young Farmers’ Payment / Regional Reserve is that you must hold at the time of application at least a Level II qualification in Agriculture (or a related subject containing at least a farm business management module).

CAFRE provides an accredited training course for those who do not have the required Level II qualification for the Young Farmers’ Payment/Regional Reserve scheme. The Agricultural Business Operations Level 2 Certificate is a part-time course with normal attendance of one evening each week over a 20 week period. The course is accredited by the Open College Network Northern Ireland (OCN NI) and training normally commences in the Autumn each year.

The enrolment period for courses commencing in October 2017 will open at 9am on Thursday 1 June 2017 and will close at 4pm on Thursday 29 June 2017.
