Highfield Level 4 Award in Food Safety Management for Manufacturing

This qualification is designed for supervisors, technical staff and managers working within a food manufacturing business and it is recommended that candidates have previously completed Level 3 food safety qualification.

Duration of course

The duration of the qualification is 60 hours, delivered over 6.5 days.

Blended approach. Days 1 and 2 will be face to face at Loughry Campus.

  • How business operators ensure compliance with food safety legislation
  • The operational requirements needed to ensure food safety
  • How to establish food safety management procedures
  • Understanding the controls required for food safety
  • How to maintain food safety management procedures

Assessment method

2½ hour written exam consisting of 30 multiple choice questions and 4 written questions.
