The role of FareShare in Northern Ireland

12 Oct 2022

Webex

Wednesday 12th October, 10:30am – 11:30am

CAFRE are facilitating a webinar aimed at food producers and suppliers operating within the NI agri-food supply chain that may have surplus or unwanted stock that can be donated and that will be used to help charities across the country. The webinar is aimed at organisations of any size, no matter how big or small that produce fresh, chilled, frozen or ambient food products.

The webinar will provide an overview of FareShare NI – what they do, how they operate and the impact their organisation has across Northern Ireland. The webinar will outline the process of becoming a food partner, and the benefits of redistributing surplus food to frontline charities and community groups through FareShare NI.

One organisation that currently donates, Avondale Foods, will share their experience of donating their surplus products and Lynsey Agnew from Lisburn City Church Community Trust will give an overview of how the donations are being used in their social supermarkets, and being put to good use.

Pre-registration is required
