Integrated Pest Management (IPM) workshop for strawberries

CAFRE are hosting an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) workshop for strawberries, with the aim to deepen the understanding of IPM in Strawberry cultivation for better pest control in your main season tunnel strawberry crop.

Please join us and network with fellow growers, technical experts and CAFRE technical staff. David Davidson, Koppert Technical Consultant for Ireland, will be joining us as the guest speaker.

Topics covered will include:

• IPM Techniques – Explore practical IPM techniques that can be used with existing cultivation programmes. Gain insight into controlling pest and diseases with less chemical dependency.
• Plant Nutrition and Biostimulants – Understand how plant nutrition plays a role in preventing pest and disease. Investigate how biostimulants help boost resilience in strawberry plants and potentially increase yield.
• Scouting and Monitoring – Acquire skills of pest and disease detection and monitoring and learn techniques for identification. Learn how to identify pest thresholds to allow for timely application of preventative and control measures.
