Explore the food production and processing techniques at Loughry Campus, Cookstown.

Book your students to attend this one-day practical workshop to explore food production and processing of cereals and crops with a focus on sustainability

This programme will develop your pupils’ understanding of food production and processing through practical examples using in the Food Technology Centre at CAFRE.

Key areas that will be covered are:

– The Food Supply Chain for growing and harvesting wheat

– Primary and secondary stages of food processing and production in relation bread manufacture

– The role of fortification and additives in bread manufacture

When booking places, tickets must be requested for each pupil attending, not one ticket per school booking.

Registration: 9.45am

Workshop starts: 10.00am

Workshop finishes: 2.00pm

Pupils may bring their own snacks and lunch or purchase food from the outlets on campus.
