Floristry Courses Information Day

22 Aug 2024

Greenmount Campus

Do you work in or own a Floristry business? CAFRE is excited to share the introduction of a new Level 3 Diploma in Work-based Floristry programme starting this September.

The training is eligible as part of the Northern Ireland Apprenticeship Scheme, and CAFRE is the sole provider in Northern Ireland. The Apprenticeship training will replace the current Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Floristry. Businesses will have the opportunity to release staff one day per week to attend CAFRE, Greenmount Campus for training.

The new Apprenticeship programme will be delivered, one day per week, over two academic years of study. Learners are required to be working in Floristry or on a Floristry work placement for a minimum of 21 hours per week. The course will consist of a combination of short assignments and a Floristry portfolio of evidence to demonstrate knowledge and skills.

We are holding an Information Day on Thursday 22nd August 2024, from 12 noon to 7.00pm to allow potential applicants or Floristry employers to visit Greenmount Campus, Antrim to explore opportunities. Join us at a time that suits you. Discover how this new course will promote entrepreneurial skills of florists by meeting creative, business and marketplace needs.

If you would like more information or wish to book a set time to discuss Level 2 and Level 3 Floristry courses with a member of our Floristry Team, please email: Lori.Hartman@daera-ni.gov.uk
