Our Supporting Agri Professionals Programme provides training to help agricultural professionals enhance their technical knowledge.
It keeps advisers, consultants, and industry specialists updated on best practices, regulations, and emerging technologies. This ensures high-quality support for farmers, promoting sustainability, efficiency, and innovation in Northern Ireland’s agriculture sector.

Water Quality Training
Training has been designed for professionals who work closely with farmers with an interest in developing their understanding of issues around water quality. The training will enable trainees to:
- Enhance their understanding of water quality and its significance to agriculture, the environment and public health
- Identify key sources of water pollution and recognise their impact.
- Understand the current strategies, regulatory frameworks, and best practice for improving water quality
- Recognise measures to improve water quality at farm level and the practical interventions required to make improvements
Please note that the regulatory content of this training relates only to the current NAP and the changes proposed for the next NAP (currently being consulted with industry stakeholders) will not be covered.
This half-day interactive training is offered free of charge. Please find below details of planned sessions along with the booking link.
Sessions are limited to 14 attendees. If you have a group of staff that would like to complete the training, we would be happy to arrange an alternative date and venue to suit your team.
Bovine Genetics Training Programme
Training has been designed for professionals who work closely with farmers with an interest in developing their understanding of issues around bovine genetics. The training will enable trainees to develop an understanding of:
- Genetics, genotyping, and breeding indexes
- Northern Ireland Bovine Genetics Genotyping Scheme
- Sustainable Ruminant Genetics (SRG) user portal and benchmarking tools
