Making Tax Digital

From 1st April 2022 all non-exempt VAT registered businesses irrespective of turnover will be required to use the Making Tax Digital system to meet their VAT obligations. This short course aims to create awareness of the requirements and what you need to do to comply with new HMRC requirements to digitally submit VAT returns.

Course Overview

This course is specifically tailored for the farming sector. The course will last for around 2 hours and is available as a face-to-face course at local venues across Northern Ireland and also as an online webinar.

Course Content

The workshop aims to provide a general awareness of:

  • The HMRC Making Tax Digital system and how it will impact on your business including: Making Tax Digital for VAT, exemptions and other developments in the Making Tax Digital system including submission of tax returns.
  • Options for keeping records and submitting them.
  • Choice of appropriate software.
  • Cost implications for farm businesses.

You will need to pre-book in advance for both the online webinars and face-to-face meetings at local venues. There will be number restrictions on the capacity of local venues.
