Level 3 Award in The Principles of Sustainable Food Innovation
The OCN NI (The Open College Network Northern Ireland) Level 3 Award in The Principles of Sustainable Food Innovation, is aimed to enable learners to develop knowledge and skills related to food innovation (New Product Development). The qualification is appropriate for those entering the roles of New Product Development (NPD) or starting out on a NPD role and wish to enhance their knowledge within the food industry.

In order to achieve this qualification, learners must successfully complete all five mandatory units listed in the table below.
Learners will be required to attend Loughry Campus, Cookstown for all five OCN NI units with a further date for consolidation of assignments.

Assessment method
Unit learnings will be based upon the candidates’ satisfactory completion of an assessment workbook, designed to capture their abilities against the stated learning outcomes.
Course Entry Requirements
Learners must be at least 18 years of age with sufficient standard of English and Mathematics to successfully undertake the qualification.
Places are limited, on the course, therefore a register of interest is being collated. Staff will make contact with you to follow up your registration or you may be placed on a reservation list.
