Level 2 Award in Sustainable Packaging Technology

The PIABC Level 2 Award in Sustainable Packaging Technology is a nationally recognised qualification that has been designed to provide learners with a basic introduction to the functions of packaging, the materials used for the construction of packaging and the methods for forming packaging and filling it with products using a sustainable focus.

Course content

The qualification is comprised of three units:
  • Packaging roles and functions
  • Packaging materials
  • Packaging operations

The Level 2 qualification is appropriate for those learners wanting to enhance their employment and progression opportunities in the agri-food packaging industries.

Assessment method:

Unit learning will be based upon the candidate’s satisfactory completion of assessments, designed to capture abilities against the stated learning outcomes.

The full awards are available at Pass, Merit & Distinction to learners who successfully complete all three units.
