This course may run in the future if there is enough interest. Please register your interest to be notified of future dates. The course will be delivered completely online over a four week period. There will also be online discussion groups, quizzes and assessments to assist learning. Participants can access the interactive lectures at a time and place which suits them during the scheduled course.

Who is the course for?

This course will provide participants with a good basic knowledge of a range of equine health topics and is suitable for anyone with an interest in equine health including private owners, small scale breeders, animal welfare officers, leisure riders and non-equine vet nurses.

Course content

The course will cover the following equine systems and some of the common conditions which affect them.

  • Equine respiratory system
  • Equine muscles & tendons
  • Equine gastrointestinal tract

Assessment

Knowledge will be assessed using online tests as participants work through the presentations.
